On 15th March 2023 the UK Government announce that the Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) will increase from the 1st of April 2023 in line with the consumer price index.
This means that the new PPT charge will increase from £200.00 per tonne up to £210.82.

How does this affect our Distributors?
We appreciate the UK Government announcement has been made with very short notice and many of you will have already scheduled orders with us for delivery in April. Premier Limpet will apply the new Level of PPT all orders placed with us from 1st of April 2023.
How to avoid the PPT
The PPT was introduced last year with a clear aim to provide an economic incentive for businesses to used recycled plastic in the manufacture of plastic packaging, which will create greater demand for this material. In turn, this will stimulate increased levels of recycling and collection of plastic waste. Premier Limpet has a range of high-quality tapes that are exempt from PPT including a printed tape manufactured using 34% recycled material alongside a range of self-adhesive or water activated paper tapes which can be printed up to four colours.
